We have one Scout troop which meets year round:

  • Friday night: 7 to 9pm

The Scouts in the Troop work in small groups called Patrols, which are led by older Scout called Patrol Leaders and also Assistant Patrol Leaders.
We offer an enjoyable and active scheme of progressive training for the Scouts based upon the Scout Law and Promise. All activities are guided by adult leadership.
There are nine challenge badges that can be earned in the Scout Troop, they are: Adventure, Creative, Expedition, Outdoor, Personal, Skills. Team Leader, Teamwork & World Challenge.
There are fourteen  staged activity badges that can be earned throughout the sections, they are: Air Activities, Community Impact, Digital Maker, Emergency Aid, Hikes Away, Musician, Nautical Skills, Navigator, Nights Away, Paddle Sports, Sailing, Swimmer and Time on the Water.
There are 73 Activity badges that can be earned in the Scout Troop ranging from Administrator to Mechanic, Craft to Street Sports and Fire Safety to Sports Enthusiast.
Scouts enjoy a great deal of fun and adventure whilst in the Troop. Activities include Canoeing, Hiking, Camping, Cycling, Cooking, Scouting Skills and many more.
We regularly camp for weekends at Urswick Hut, Torver and Bouth Woods and away from our own District.
Scouts are expected to wear their uniform at Troop meetings (with smart trousers at formal events). You will be informed if uniform is not required for any activities or meetings.
